JJ's Bulky Knit Beanie Pattern
Size: teen/adult medium beanie -
Size 10 mm in 16 inch circular knitting needles / 9 mm for 5 DPNS.
Cast on 44 stitches(even number)
Brim:
K2,P2 for about 2 1/2 inches
or approximately 6 rounds.
Body
R 1. P2, K2 all the way
R 2. K2, P2 all the way
R 3. P2, K2 all the way
R 4. K2, P2 all the way
R 5 to 8. Knit all the way (4 rounds)
R 9 to 12. K1, P1 all the way (4 rounds)
R 13 to 16. Knit all the way (4 rounds)
R 17 to 20. K1, P1 all the way (4rounds)
R 21 to 23. Knit all the way (3 rounds)
Crown Decrease Rounds:
R
24 Knit all the way. (Moving stitches evenly to DPNS - double pointed
knitting needles) There should be eleven stitches per needle with a
spare needle for knitting.
R 25. K2 tog, knit to the end of each DPN.
R 26. Knit all the DPNS.
Continue
R 25 & 26 until there's four stitches or more if you prefer. Thread
a yarn needle and slip the stitches onto it. Cinch the top closed and
weave the ends neatly.
