I've been researching lots of holiday videos over at YouTube for crochet projects that are quick and easy.

I made my very first basket with the easy tutorial by Pamela's Adoring Crochet. Everyone loves it! I used red, white and green yarn from Red Heart Super Saver.  It's fabulous. My gnomes love it too.

I found an adorable patterns by  Bo's Handmade Shop on YouTube. She has many holiday projects. I've made her Christmas trees, angel, poinsettias, penguin,  cross, coasters and more. I plan on revisiting Bo's Handmade Shop and making more beautiful ornaments.

Christmas tree, star and dishcloth

I got lots of praise from making the Christmas trees. I added white sparkle yarn around the star for this tree. They are adorable. You could make these in any color. What fun!

Recently, I  made a Merry Berry Dishcloth's with the tutorials by Fiber Flux and Amanda Crochets. These are different patterns with similar names.   I love making beautiful dishcloths and hots pads. I especially love making the ones with flowers.

The dishcloth's are great gift ideas for ant time of the year. The color ideas are immense. Enjoy!

Turkey Hot Pad or Placemat 

I've finished a turkey hot pad or placemat. I used similar colors to those in n her tutorial. I really don't think it's a good idea to keep Google eyes if using it for hot items.

Mistletoe by Red Heart Super Saver 

Tis' the season for crocheting festive projects! I have wanted the Mistletoe yarn ever since last year. I couldn't make up my mind what project to use it on once I bought it.  I considered making a pillow cover or couch throw. 

Finally, I decided to use the Jenny Lynn Bulky Scarf pattern. I chose Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo yarn in the colorway of Mistletoe. It's 482 yards or 10 ounces.  It's a four weight yarn. I like that it's washable and dryable. I didn't pick a bulky yarn as mentioned in the tutorial. I'm using a 5.50 mm crochet hook instead of the one suggested in her video. 

Her tutorials are easy to follow and Free! I believe she has a pattern you can buy on her store.

Update: I decided to frog my project because it wasn't what I envisioned. I love the yarn. I plan on using it for other holiday projects. 

I agree with Pamela that using a bulky yarn is best.
